Patrick Jennings is responsible for misdemeanor and felony level criminal cases.

Pat Jennings Public Defender

Before working at the Marquette County Public Defender Office, he was in private practice in Marquette. He had a solo practice since 2000 specializing in criminal law, as well as bankruptcy and child welfare cases. He is a graduate of Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC and is licensed by the State Bar of Michigan, the Western District Federal Court and the Federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Jennings was an Aviation Electronics Technician with the United States Coast Guard. He also taught mathematics at the University of Alaska – Fairbanks in Kotzebue, Alaska and was a contingent assistant professor of mathematics at Northern Michigan University.

Jennings lives in Marquette with his wife, Martha, who is an immigration lawyer.
