Public Defender
Wesley E. Somogy was born and raised in Wooster, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 2007 and from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2011.
Prior to joining the Marquette County Public Defender’s Office, Wes worked as a Special Assistant Attorney General, an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and an Assistant Public Defender.
Wes is honored to live and work in Marquette County. He is passionate about upholding the integrity of the criminal justice system and the legal profession, and his favorite part about being a public defender is witnessing clients commit to personal transformation.
When he is not working, Wes enjoys participating in community events, being in nature, and finding the next best cup of coffee.
