Cassidy returns to Marquette as a 2017 Northern Michigan University alum with a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Washington and a background in policy analysis and program management. With a passion for criminal justice reform, she leads Northern Michigan’s public defender recruitment efforts to grow the regional delivery of first-rate indigent defense services across the region.
In coordination with the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission, Cassidy leads the Wayne State Fellowship Program to place rising Law and Master of Social Work students with critical hands-on experience serving public defense offices in Alleghan/Van Buren, Calhoun, Genesee, Macomb, and Wexford/Missaukee counties.
